Kia Ora and welcome to our first blog post!

What a crazy time we find ourselves in?! With 4 weeks of lockdown under our belt, and a few more days to go, it has been awesome to see the kiwi spirit that has bought everyone together. Not to mention the hilarious ways fellow NZers have entertained themselves in their bubbles.

Seeing households across the country having baking coming out their ears, it’s pretty clear why we couldn’t find any flour and had to dash for the last box of good ol’ Edmonds pre-mixed cupcakes for our lockdown kitchen escapades.

From arts and crafts, to DIY and at-home workouts, kiwis have thought of it all (and we love seeing the snaps of you enjoying your phoric for that workout, work-day or DIY project so keep em’ coming!) But a highlight of ours was the fabulous dance moves of many mums and dads across the country making their debut on Seven Sharp’s bubble dance-off. It was… well… a good giggle to say the least. Check out some of the clips here:

Fun and jokes aside, this has been an incredibly challenging time for a lot of kiwis. And we can’t be grateful enough for all of the front-line staff who are continuing to serve the community during this time. If you know anyone who is an essential service worker, jump on over to our Facebook page and mention them in the comments of our latest post and we will be giving away drinks to some of those incredible people.

As a small New Zealand business, we can’t thank you all enough for the continued support, especially during a time like this. It is awesome to see kiwis rallying around local businesses. In particular, there is an incredible organisation called Manaaki, who are supporting small business during this time. So, if you know any small businesses that could use a helping hand, or you would like to discover more local businesses to support, check out @wearemanaaki on Instagram.
